Slding wndow channel

Post by Boardy »

I am looking at the sliding window channels for my traveller. The usual suppliers I use, one sells the bright edge bottom channel and another advertises them as stainless finish, but are not sure if it is stainless or not. Because of my seaside location and my obsession with using stainless wherever possible my questions are;

Does anybody do the sliding channels in stainless or not?
If anybody has fitted these channels are they prone to rust/pitting?
Any thoughts on using these or is it advisable just to keep using the standard channel?

Regards

I've had them on my car for 8 years - think they're stainless - no pitting. If in doubt ring Steve Foreman of Woodies and ask him for advice. Details in Minor Matters.

Thanks very much for the reply, I've taken a look at Woodies website and see they are listed as chrome edge strip. I'll give them a ring and see what they say.
