"This is needing full restoration"
No, it needs scrapping. Actually I think from the marks on the roof where its plainly been lifted, somebody probably DID scrap it about 25years ago......

Of course, there will be a few bits and pieces which can be salvaged but that's about all unfortunately. I expect over the years, many people have offered to buy it but the owner had always said "I'm going to fix it one day" or "It's worth more than that" and that is how it has got in such a state. What a shame

I knew of a Minor van locally which was owned from new by a farmer. When it had covered about 20,000miles the differential packed up. He refused to sell it despite decent offers and it simply rotted away in the long grass eventually.......

Poor thing! It should have been left snoozing where it was to end it's days in peace.

I looked at the ad and thought, nah! Then I saw the tempting "IT IS ALSO TAX EXEMPT".

Where are all these barns coming from, eastern Europe?

Hidden in trucks and blaming everything on Nicola Sturgeon
Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!

This was a bit of a restoration:-

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/goo ... -more.html

I do think that we are being hard on the seller of the pickup - if it comes with full documentation it can be returned to as new condition with a bit of work  and it will be worth a lot more than the current asking price.
I have seen a lot of cars not just Minors in worse condition restored to useable and better condition. :D

Maybe I need to get out more, because I can't say I've seen worse! :D Mind you if I took on something like that--I'd never find time to get out more!

Okay, here's something for those of you wanting something less challenging..................

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Morris-Minor- ... 33a1c7ac28
1954 Series 2: 4 door: "Sally" -- Back on the ground with (slave) wheels, now being sprayed by me, slowly......
1970 Triumph Herald 1200: "Hetty" -- Driven back from Llangollen in Wales (twice.....)
1952 Morris Minor MM highlight with sidevalve engine still fitted, wants work, so joins the queue for now......
