Engine mounts

Post by meganwilkinson2008 »

Hi having recently changed my timing chain with the help from all you guys at the same time i replaced my engine mounts as they were completely shot with some i purchased from david manners.I have now noticed quite a bit of vibration feed back from the engine especially at low revs.i wondered if there is any different ones i could purchase or will they soften up with age and wear.If i could have kept the old ones i would have.On the upside they make pulling off and reversing very positive.

Unfortunately, this problem is widely reported. Unfortunately the modern mounts are rubbish. Search for other threads - there are suggestions of drilling holes. If the suppliers are to get the message, then we should really complain and send the mounts back. Keep and eye open for NOS originals - try Club Spares.

I believe someone recently found the mounts from Bull Motif to be ok. Your faulty mounts should be returned for credit - otherwise they will never 'get the message'....
