"Brake Engineering" wheel cylinders
Anyone fitted or have an opinion on wheel cylinders manufactured by "Brake Engineering ? British company - cylinders made in Italy ? look quite well made and include a nipple cover which seems to be a bonus these days ! any thoughts ?[frame]

Re: "Brake Engineering" wheel cylinders
Are they the 'original' design with a bucket seal under the piston - or the nasty copy type with an O ring on the piston? Only the bucket seal type are worth having.......

Re: "Brake Engineering" wheel cylinders
If they're made in Italy they'll be the cheap "pattern" cylinders. If they're cheap they'll be the pattern cylinders.
Don't take a chance with BRAKES. Talk to one of the Minor specialists - I'm sure they all offer the original type cylinder - and buy those. I 've just bought a whole set for the front of mine and they cost about £17.00ea including VAT. Not expensive really is it?

Re: "Brake Engineering" wheel cylinders
They are from memory a 'pattern' cylinder. I have fitted pattern front cylinder's now a few times and I will never fit them again. Pattern are OK for the rear but not the front !!!
