Most want a dimmer - so they can dim the panel lights!

Au contraire! In the interim between sourcing a speedo reading primarily in KM's (being in France) I cannot read the KM 'inner' part of my speedo at night (though I don't need it for general driving) - the French have cracked on with speed checks in recent times - we caught one sat in a tree with a speed gun in camouflage uniform while out on mountain bikes! So am looking for something with extra brightness. Thanks Aupickup! :D
As an aside, anyone buying these should be reminded not to replace the ignition warning lamp with an LED lamp (such as the above), for obvious reasons!

Because it won't allow the alternator to sense the battery volts.... And being a 'diode' - it will only work one way - so (depending on polarity) it may tell you the Ign is on, but won't light up if the dynamo fails..... or vice versa....

Oh a brighter oil pressure warning light could be a VERY good thing - although , by the time it comes on - the engine has already destroyed itself.......
