White Morris Pick-Up truck XUW 945
My Morris Pick-up was stolen on the evening of the 16th March 2015. It is in excellent condition with full canvas tilt.
I had just finished getting it ready for the summer hence sitting on my drive. Not very hopeful of seeing it again but maybe someone on this site might spot it somewhere. No harm in trying! The police are aware but had no success in spite of prompt action.

Very sorry to hear that.
Can you give any more info? When (ie at night, from in garage) and how (if you know) it was stolen? Picture? Location? Colour? Every little helps when searching for a lost car. Plus any other distinguishing feature you may know of.
It's not unknown for them to turn up. The more you an give others to look out for, the greater chance that someone passing it may notice something.

Did you record chassis/cab/engine numbers?
Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!

Hi, many thanks to all who ave sent sympathetic and helpful messages.
The extra information many suggested I post is - I am in North West Norfolk in a village with no cctv or speed cameras any where near so little help to be had there.
I have learnt just this morning that a neighbour did in fact see my truck being loaded onto a low loading trailer early evening but thought it was going for repair. The trailer was towed by a black four wheel drive vehicle but no make or number unfortunately.
Have passed this on to the police but it is probably too late to help much.
Full vehicle details - White Morris Minor 1000 1/4 Ton Pick-Up. Chassis No. OFB4/100785 Engine No. 9M-U-H/401618
Body No. 68932. The tilt was new and tan coloured and the trailer had a wood lined base. The interior is mid blue, much of the carpet is fairly new. The heater is possibly and american make. There is a remarkable lack of rust as it spent much of it's life in California.
I will try to attach a couple of photos and live in hope.
Regards to All,

As so many people read this section of the website it is pertinent then to recap.
For anyone still owning a classic car.
1. Have the windows etched with the cars number plate.
Result, this helps deter a scumbag as he cannot remove said etch, selling doors requires new windows, selling screens is impossible, selling the car complete but cloned impossible with said etch, expense and hassle he does not require.£25.00
2. Fit a 42cm Disklock, they are a swine to remove,
Result, more time spent on your drive or car park he most certainly does not want.£80.00
3. Fit a secret switch,
Result, more scumbag time on your drive, putting him off nicking your price and joy. £ pennies
4. For the owner who cannot garage the vehicle, fit a wheel clamp, at £75.00 ish they represent good value, if the car can be towed from the front, fit it on the rear, the opposite end of the car if parked nose in.
5, check with your insurer to see if they will reduce your premium for fitting any of the above.
Remember, as others are making their cars more difficult to nick, this in turn makes your car much more appealing increasing the odds you are going to lose your car to a scumbag.
This is war people, arm up

Re: White Morris Pick-Up truck XUW 945
I had a friend into classic fords and he used to use a motor cycle chain around the axle connected to a point in his garage floor, not the easiest thing to have to fit when you park, and on occasion it even fooled him as he tried to drive away.
