clutch issue

I seem to be having a bad run of issues on morris at the moment
The latest one is when I press my clutch pedal down the car stalls, even when stationary. Ive read up that it maybe thrust washers which bothers me. Could it be down to anything else that I maybe missing please?

Does this happen if you depress the throttle a little before pressing the clutch? That is, increase the revs a little. It could be as simple as having the idle speed set too low.

The tickover is as it should be..I have to rev more than usual as I pull away in order to avoid stalling.
Its as though the engine goes under load and stalls

Of course it does - pressing the clutch loads up the engine. How much free play is at the pedal? You may be pushing the clutch too far. The idle may also be 'fragile' if the mixture and ignition settings are not right.

how do you mean pushing the clutch too far please and how much free play should be in the pedal so that I can check later.

If you're worried about the thrusts or lack of them just get someone to push the clutch in and watch the bottom pully it may move out but only slightly or hardly at all,if it moves a lot,then you MAY have a thrust problem but very,very unlikely.

If there was no problem with the revs dropping before you changed to electronic ignition then as Roy says the issue lies with the ignition or carb set up.
Was it ok before?

There should be ~ 1" free play (is there a return spring?) - and probably no need to push it right into the floor... just enough to dis-engage is sufficient.. You must of course NEVER sit with foot on clutch - down, into gear and up up and away. Don't sit at lights etc in gear with foot on clutch...
