The bloke never complained though... Suppose it'll all come out in the wash.

Re: clarkson
Hammond and James May have said they wont do the show without him

Re: clarkson
Looks like the Top Gear 'Live' shows have been 'postponed' too......... BBC are really shooting themselves in the foot now - but what do they care - after all it's OUR TV Licence money they are wasting away!!

Well it's just been announced that the BBC have sacked him. No surprise really.............
Re: clarkson
I fancy that German woman Sabine Schmitz, she would make a good replacement.

Re: clarkson
This could be a good thing in the long run. He'll find a new vehicle to entertain those of us who enjoy non PC schoolboy humour and be out of the hair of those who don't. I think it was getting harder to come up with fresh ideas for Top Gear anyway.
Re: clarkson
Can't say I've got much against the bloke, but I find it quite reassuring that no one is above being dealt with. Verbal abuse and a split lip, nothing to condemn the man for? What about armed robbery, anyone still on side? Or how about mugging an old lady, still got the thumbs up?

Re: clarkson
That was just about a typical day when I worked for the Coal Board in the 1970's! Apart from the mugging old ladies bit, of course.

Re: clarkson
So, the BBC has a highly paid job vacancy for a grumpy old man a bit overweight and not dressing too smartly, who likes banging on about cars? Where do I get an application form?
I'll try not to upset the foreigners, promise!

Re: clarkson
The whole ethos of the Top Gear show doesn't fit with the lefty BBC attitude these days.... Maybe they will sell it off . And the loss of £50M income it brings? Matters not - just put the Licence Fee up a couple of £s - there - we fixed it!
