When attempting to open my Minor's bonnet the lock control rod failed to function and came loose in my hand. I can only imagine that it has become detached from the control rod lever. Result! - I am unable to open the bonnet. Have tried from underneath the car to access the lever but unsuccessful. Can anyone suggest a solution short of damaging the bonnet. Thanks,
Telpet

Re: Bonnet Opening
Am only now returning to my bonnet opening problem after experiencing a number of health issues. Tried accessing from underneath as suggested by members but without success. Eventually solved problem by punching out pins on bonnet hinges and raising bonnet from the rear, supporting it with a block of wood. I was then able to create a reasonable amount of space to reconnect pull rod with lever and eureka, one open bonnet. Have now secured rod to lever with a new splitpin. Note that when removing and replacing pins one end is splined. Drive out pins from outer sides. Telpet
