New Member First Morris Minor

Post by Broadsword »

Hi Everyone
I have just joined the owners club because I have been gifted a 1954 Morris Minor. It is in a bit of a sorry state, however I have many years working in the motor trade fixing and servicing lots of different types of vehicles. I have help restore various vehicle including BMW and Jenson intersepters for other people. Now I get a chance to restore and enjoy a classic of my own. This car was owned by my nabours farther who sadley passed away some years ago. He had started restoring the old car and has replaced a number of pannels and some parts are scattered within his old garage. First question is, how does the bonnet open. I have looked under the dash and by the front grill but can't see a lever or anything. Thanks in antisipation.

Hi and welcome :) A nice gift but shame about the circumstances.
The bonnet pull should be to the right of the steering wheel between the bottom of the dash and parcel shelf, it's a loop on the end of a rod that passes through the bulkhead - give it a tug.

I wish someone would gift me a 1954 Morris Minor! :P
Though, as then above poster said, sad circumstances in this case, anyway, I have found this for you:
Best wishes,
Mike.

Hello and welcome to the group :)
Lovely moggy can't wait to see more of her ;)

You could always create a thread in the restoration section to keep everyone updated on your progress and also a nice way for you to see how far you've gotten :)
good luck with the project
P.s we like pictures ;)

Good that's what we like to hear ;)
And it's simple :)
Go to the messege broad - go on restoration projects - and clock on new topic like you did to make this one :) then just comment your pictures as you go :)
