After speaking (and being reassured) to both my spray shop man and a local windscreen company I wondered what the fuss was all about, they both implied that the split screen would be easy to fit following the re-spray……….WRONG…..they both gave up after several attempts and I am left with a window-less beautiful series 2,
I live in Stratford-on-Avon does anyone have Tel No of a guy or company who CAN fit the screen?
Kind regards,
Mike

Re: Split screen help!!!!!
Did you really need to remove the screen to spray? Could you have not masked the screen off, as I will do when I re-spray my mm?

Re: Split screen help!!!!!
My mm is 65 this year and the seals are getting a bit crisp, I have renewed the rest but am dodging the windscreen job, fortunately it is a tourer.

Re: Split screen help!!!!!
depends how much corrosion there is under the rubber and on the frame, most ser11 by now will have some because the screens are very prone to letting water underneath,.Don't fret about it,yes its a pig of a job but its not THAT hard to sort out.I've had mine out three times over the years and replaced it single handed, just look up my method of how to do it,works fine.namass1 wrote:Did you really need to remove the screen to spray?
