Can any one tell me it the flywheel is the same on these engines?

The mountings for the clutch pressure pad are different - the 1098 uses a larger diameter clutch. I think there are weight differences too......

Yes they are different. When I bought my Morris, it had a 1098 engine with 948 gearbox, clutch and flywheel. If I remember right, also the engine backplate was 948. With the gearbox not in good condition, I made it all 1098 again.

The earlier thread suggests the 948 fly is lighter than a 1098. The 803 being heavier....
