Another Tacho Question

I'm doing a similar job to Theo_NL in fitting some auxiliary gauges in front of the drivers side glove box. I've got a Jaeger Electronique tacho I'd like to fit alongside the oil pressure, water temp and ammeter but I'm unsure how to wire it up, for info the car has been converted to negative earth.[frame][/frame][frame][/frame]

The numbering on the dial is T3 24423 02 then 304933 01 I've had a good old Google but cant find anything useful

The wires seem to be original so I'm guessing the colours are too but I cant find any marking at all on the back of the gauge, I would be most grateful for any help.
One more question, I've done what a few people have done and cut a piece of plate to mount the gauges in behind the glove box outer trim (simlar to Theo's) - but how is this held in place? I could probable cobble something together but don't want to re-invent the wheel so to speak.

Thanks Mike, that's another option and it looks great but I do like the look of a flat insert painted body colour. Anyone got any idea on the wiring side of things?

My outer trim has a small bracket at the top, just above the middle gauge. Fitting the frame without the middle gauge should be possible (or thru the hole of the gauge, or from the back). At the bottom there should be two brackets (on mine one is broken, have to repair it first) that fix the frame from below.[frame][/frame]

I made a front panel out of 6mm polycarbonate with the 3 holes, and the same (somewhat bigger) thin plywood for the backplate. The gauges themselves hold them together. Here the picture from the front (polycarbonate grinded in shape, but needs to finished in the same color as the dash).[frame][/frame]

Oh dear, I binned a mod like that when I restored our '61saloon 6 years ago. Should have donated it but I was into originality at the time and couldn't see then point of the useless information.

Sorted. For anyone else fitting this type of tacho the wiring is:-

Brown - Earth (negative)
Purple - Positive feed
Green - LT pulse from dizzy side of coil.
