Engine
Hi all I am going to post a cheeky request but if you don't ask you don't get
Matilda is a 1970 2 door saloon I have owned her for a couple of years my plan is a rolling restoration. I have limited mechanical knowledge but I have a plan. I would like to treat Mattie to a reconditioned engine, but like a lot of us on here I have limited funds. I was wondering if anyone had a old engine lying about that maybe was in the way or taking up much needed garage space that they would like to get rid of. My plan is to have a go at rebuilding it or reconditioning it with the help of my father in law. Preferably in Wales but I am happy to travel I have a trailer. I know it's a bit cheeky but hey
thank you in anticipation of a positive response.

Re: Engine
I reconditioned my engine but found all the parts I needed were almost as expensive as a recon engine.
Maybe cheaper if you could buy parts at trade prices.
Of course if you really want to do it for your own experience then go ahead, I enjoyed doing it, but didn't save much.
