Marina Handbrake

Post by convertibled »

I would like to fit a Marina handbrake single cable set up to the Marina Axle I have fitted on my rebuild. Can anybody tell me if there is enough room above the props haft in the tunnel to take the Marina Handbrake and the single cable adjuster?

Yes, I've done it a couple of times. The adjuster is on the axle, just the lever and cable above the shaft. The great advantage of the Marina system is that if one cable breaks, then you have no handbrake, as opposed to the Minor one where you would still have one cable working, albeit at slightly reduced effectiveness. :-?

Surely that is a disadvantage?
