Extended boot lid

Post by kennatt »

Whilst idly surfing the web came across this from pitmans motorist library Minor mania.......................for extra capacity the car can be fitted with an extended boot lid to double the size of the boot. Made by Alexander Engineers Haddenham Buck

Has anyone ever seen such a car, would be nice to see a photo if there was ever such an add on :o :o

Perhaps it's a special 'LBM' bootlid - 'Long boot moulding' Worth a fortune if you can get hold of one!!!

Hi,
I rather like the Alexander Minor boot lid conversion, it makes the Minor look bigger in the pictures and like a much older design of car, almost Thirties / Forties....................
Best wishes,
Mike.

1952 Morris Minor MM highlight with sidevalve engine still fitted, wants work, so joins the queue for now......

Yes, me too  I think the long boot moulding enabled Morris to pick cars off the production line for conversion into Morris Oxfords, or possibly AEC Routemasters.
