Gearbox substitution
I would like to replace my old gearbox in 1955 saloon for a later ribbed one which I have. I want to keep the pudding stirrer as I don't want to change the interior of the car. I have seen the procedure on here somewhere but now I cant find it, point me in the right direction please.

Should be ready for tea time.

Re: Gearbox substitution
Hi Declan, yes that was one of the ones I was looking for, however, there was another one which suggested that a plate was required between the 1098 gearbox and the old tail shaft if you want to retain the pudding stirrer. I'll keep looking.

Re: Gearbox substitution
Ian,
I have another article but it is in German with photos and it does show the plate you are mentioning.
I also have some photos of the procedure as done by a mate of mine.

Declan
