Front right brake problem
Hello, I got car ready for MOT with all things fixed. It is just the front right brake. When pedal is depressed it is impossible to move it to one point, where the wheel just slips 1/5 turn and locks again. Adjustments does nothing - there is always a part of wheel that slips when braking. Problem does not exist on other wheels. Is it the drum out of align, uneven brake pads or something else? Either this, or brake drum is locking solid and completely stuck after few rolls when messing with adjustment screws. Brakes have been rebleed correctly and there is no brake pedal play anymore. Road tested, no pulling present, excellent braking. But could be mot fail if it rolls on their weird machine and locks again?

Re: Front right brake problem
Swap the front drums over, side to side - to see if the problem follows the drum..... You could always ask the MOT place if they would do a 'pre MOT' run on the rollers to check the brakes...

Re: Front right brake problem
There should be some, if there is no free play at the pedal something is over adjusted.there is no brake pedal play
"Once you break something you will see how it was put together"
Re: Front right brake problem
The return springs are definitely connected to the shoes (not pads....) correctly?

Re: Front right brake problem
There is like 2cm play until brake is applied. I was quite happy with braking strength, much better than when I received car first time. It seemed all springs are on place, but will test them and drums when car comes back from welder. Thank you.
Problem fixed. Car just got 128/127 score on rollers.
