Seat bolts... and a lick of paint?

Post by poplars »

I've just taken out all the seats... and I need a spare bolt as one of the clamps only had one bolt. Silly question - Whats the right size bolt for this? I just placed an order at ESM for lot of bits and bobs and would rather not have to do an order for 1 bolt that would require postage, so wondered what size Im looking for.

On the same topic. While the seats are out is there anything stopping me giving the foots wells etc a lick of paint underneath the carpet? Would doing something like this cause problems going forward? I just thought a coat of hammerite would make things today etc.

Thanks as always.

That tells us that you have 7 samples to measure up. I believe Les is correct with 5/16", but I suspect that they are BSF thread.

Just wanted to order one (may actually order 8 new one actually) as not currently at home so can't measure them up. Keen to get seats back in on my return. Didn't want to get wrong ones. Thanks for comments. Am sure I can find some on the ESM website. Think these are the ones?? http://morrisminorspares.co.uk/shop/pro ... 2441a42b82

They look ok, they only need to be 3/4-1 inch long. Give them a call tomorrow and confirm the wing bolts are the same length. Although as I mentioned earlier ----just ask for what you want, you'll get the correct ones then.
