I could certainly pop in there but I doubt the guys at the warehouse could help me. At that place they store tons of discontinued Volvo parts and the men who work there are mostly retired ex. Volvo factory workers. This is what it looks like http://svis.se/svisdag.html You mentioned you might have this sorted by Monday. If not - let me know and I could make some phone calls or write some emails. I suppose your car was never registred in Sweden. If it was there is an other option to find the documents you need.tysonn wrote:Pingis can you call in on Monday and ask them to give you a printout on Volvo headed paper of the build date of 1834352Y5168 Volvo P1800ES please?Tell them Micky Finn sent you ;-)

Hi pingis my reply was a bit tongue in cheek but I am very grateful for your kind offer! You're a gent.Maybe when I get a this registration sorted out and can carry on getting the bodywork and repaint done you may be able to help me out with some parts!Part of this cars' appeal is its 27k mileage. As far as I'm aware the world record for a high mileage car is 300,000 + FOR A VOLVO P1800!!!!!I can't verify it but the condition of the interior certainly bears it out.

If I can be of assistance I will be glad to help.
Wow, that's low. Your car certainly seems to be worth some paperwork to get it back on the road.tysonn wrote: Part of this cars' appeal is its 27k mileage.
I have read about that car. It is an American P1800 Coupe. I don't think the Volvos made today will last that long.tysonn wrote:As far as I'm aware the world record for a high mileage car is 300,000 + FOR A VOLVO P1800!!!!!
That Volvo club warehouse is pretty accessible from the UK. If you get on a Ryanair flight from Stansted airport you will be dropped off about 30 minutes from the warehouse. (Hopefully - once Ryanair dropped me off at East Midlands airport instead of Stansted
