Carburetter vent hole
In the September/October Minor Matters there was an article on the vent in the top of the carb float chamber. I have looked really closely on mine and cannot find ANY evidence of one. Where should I be looking or are there different types. Cannot belive it is so corroded up that it is invisible. Symptoms are similar to that that was published.

Re: Carburetter vent hole
If you remove the petrol pipe tube from the carb there is a plate in front of it which covers the hole, this just pulls off revealing the vent hole.

Thanks Trickydicky. I actually removed the fuel pipe and the hole is underneath the hose!
Quite large at aout 1/16" and not blocked. The article, as read, implied a hole in the top by the words Birmingham. Mystery now solved.
