Drive your Classic to Work Week

Post by gtt1951 »

I was notified, this afternoon, that this week is the "Drive Your Classic to Work" week.
Never heard of this - anyone else know about this?
So, tomorrow, I'll be driving my Traveller in to work and, if I get the Series 2's rad back in, I'll drive that on Friday.
Saddly, the Series MM needs a bit more work before it gets to run the 50 mile round trip to my place of work.

Always drove my classics to work before I retired.
Make sure that you have a classic on the road for "Drive it Day" in April

I try to use mine at least once a week, had a bloke in a £40k Merc shout out nice wheels yesterday which is always nice given my car is a 10th the value of his own!

Ooooops, thought it was last month, wondered why I saw nobody else in a classic! Since buying Bertie he has been used for everything apart from pulling the caravan or M1 trips to London, the old Merc is sulking. He has done a couple of boot sales and an Antique Fair loaded to the roof and attracts more attention than any other classic I have owned. Met quite a few MM owners and told them to log on here and think about joining.
Not working till Sunday but Bertie will take me.
