Bakelite dash knobs

Post by brett »

Just wondering how is the white paint best applied to the script on the knobs ?
The heater button has the words - " Heater - Fast - Slow " and the wiper knob has a W, the light knob a L and an S on the starter knob ( the choke knob is different to the rest and I've got to get a matching one ! ).
How best do I re-apply white into these letters after polishing and refinishing the Bakelite ?

On my mm, I just painted on Tipex and then just scraped off the excess carefully with a knife.
