wheel alienment
I have made a frame out of steel. when checking with wheels straight ahead, do i set this with front jacked up or fully down, if its down, how do i get under car? No funny remarks please. Thanks.
Re: wheel alienment
Straight ahead - and yes down on the suspension at normal ride height. You don't go 'under the car' - why would you? You slide the measuring frame through, certainly...but you stay outside! If you have to adjust the tracking - then sure you will have to wriggle under (on full lock) to get at the lock nuts and track rods. Remember always to adjust both sides equally...having checked they are equal before you start.... And after making an adjustment - roll the car backwards and then forwards again before taking another measure.
