Hi,
Would anyone out there know if any suppliers of Morris Monor parts will have a stand at Beaulieu?
I have loads of stuff to get so I can complete my Minor project!
The petrol will still be cheaper than the postage!
Many thanks in anticipation.
Martin.

Martin,
Go armed with either photos or drawings, of the parts you need as there will be loads of sellers that don't necessarily mainly deal with Morris Monor (or Minor - my keyboard keeps doing that as well), but will have those parts.
When you see piece parts, it is often quite difficult to recognise them out of context (i.e. when fitted to the car).
Shame I can't go, as I will be on holiday in Somerset!
Regards, George.

Hi Martin
We will be having a Dorset Branch spares stall where we will have a large selection of new and used parts for sale. If there is anything you need in particular please contact Brian, our spares manager, via our website www.dorsetmmoc.co.uk.

Good to hear your going, I try and get to both the big international one and the Spring one myself. I've just got back from a week at the Great Dorset Steam Fair so the caravans still all loaded up. Usually there are stands with just old BMC spares and I normally pick a few things up. If your Morris is an 803 car you may find general spares are limited (I didn't find much for the van last year) but if it's a 1000 you'll find loads. In terms of "part identification equipment" I'll be taking the book Original Morris Minor. There's loads of clear pictures and part numbers for all the Lucas stuff, and my iPad. I've been taking screenshot of pictures of the parts I need. Really glad to hear the Dorset Branch will be having a stand. Any idea where the stand will be? If I remember correctly each stand has a number and is in one of about four main sections (red, yellow, green etc) I recall the guide having a map that was number and colour coded. I may be wrong though.
If your going for the first time my advice would be look at each and every stall, don't just dart from one at the beging to one in the middle. It sounds obvious but with limited time to get round every stall you really don't want to be back tracking, it saves time in the long run.
I'm hoping a few MM parts will crop up in the pre war stands in the form of Morris 8 parts.

Re: Beaulieu Autojumble
I've been to both spring and autumn autojumbles for the past few years. It can be feast or famine depending what you're looking for and I've often found Minor bits to be quite limited. Given the numbers on the road still, maybe everything has been bought and stockpiled already!
Either way, It's a worthwhile day out. There are a LOT of stalls to see so get there early and take good walking shoes as you'll do a few miles. Mobile phone coverage used to be useless there but it did seem much better at the spring autojumble.
Enjoy

The National Club stand is on Green field G006/7/8 where you can rest your feet, have a drink if the kettle is on and have a chat with other owners. The Dorset branch stand is nearly opposite.
We look forward to seeing you.
