Light probes

Post by Heronwood »

Help!!!!

I have recently saved a series ii mm 1954 from certain death.

She runs well and there is minimal corrosion. I have replaced brake cylinders drums and shoes .

With regard to the lights I have the following

Side lights work
Retro fitted indicators work
Traficators work
Head lights do not work on beam or dipped
Rear lights. Only one rear light works neither brake light works.

I have changed the bulbs. This is the only thing stopping me from legal driving her. Can anyone help please. I am no electrician.

Headlights - could be light switch or blue wire from light switch to dip switch
Rear light - could be bullet connectors in the boot, corrosion inside the lamp or the earth.
Brake lights - check the brake light switch in the engine compartment. If the connections are good then bridge across the contacts and the lights should come on (ignition on)
