Leaking door top :S

Hello everyone,

Ok so I've been trying to solve a bad leak in my Moggy for a while now and window weather strips didn't work (there wasn't any there -_-) so I thought hey ill get a hose on it and see where the leak is coming though and it is the top of the drivers door

I'm guessing it has traveller tops as they are chrome but they stick out badly and just am not sure how to push the top in to see if that solves it, the picture below shows the how much the drivers door sticks out I haven't looked into trying the passengers side yet as the drivers side seems to be the problem[frame][/frame]

Wind the glass down out the way - and gently 'lean' on it.....

As above but I "lightly" clamped a couple of short lengths of wooden floorboards either side of the frame and then lent on it.
There is more of a chance to obtain an equal / level push than with a hand on each corner. ( Assuming the gap at the top is
the same along the top , of course !! ).
Test your efforts by putting a sheet of newspaper between the door top and the rubber door seal and try to remove it gently.
If it doesn't grip, then a little more adjustment is required.

Exactly what I would suggest Roy but I would put a block of wood between door bottom and sill and lean a bit more than "gently".

I removed the window frame units and bent the lower legs with a stillson wrench slightly with the frame held tightly in a vice.
They now sit snugly when the doors are closed.

Thanks for the replys and tips everyone I did think bending was the way to go but wanted to check there wasnt any adjusting holes at the bottom of the frame. ill give it a go later on
