Security for your Moggie (Trackers)

Post by MsRose »

Although my Traveller is far from ready, I've already spoken to the Company who look after my Farm Security and they have gone through options for my Moggie. I'm just so worried that after all the hard work it might get stolen and I want to make every effort on it's security.

I've seen the trackers and software in operation and they really are worth the money. You get a text the minute the vehicle leaves your home/work/anywhere you choose. Once you log on you are shown where the vehicle is, how fast it's going, how long it's been stopped and track everywhere it's been.

This is a system you can use on your own and I believe the trackers are somewhat better than others on the market.

This is the Company http://www.crops.uk.com/

Thanks for that.
See also a previous thread "Car Trackers for Tracing Stolen Cars".
Practically Classics featured the fitting of a tracker but the following month there was a letter from a Crime Reduction Officer warning that thieves use a jamming device in case the intended vehicle has a GPS tracker fitted. He stated that we should fit a "dual-band type" which can't be blocked.
I haven't searched yet to find the price/ availability of such a tracker, unless anybody here has any knowledge of them..?
Regards

YES!, the guys at CROPS explained this to me. It was all a little complicated, but they have trackers which can't be blocked. I believe it's GRPS trackers that can be jammed, but I'm no expert.

I think they are absolutely excellent. We had one fitted to a quad and it was worth it's weight in gold!!

I wonder if I could get the guys to do some kind of write up on the trackers which I could maybe pop on the here?
