I've been using the site for years and the recent hoax post from that twit, is the first we've had. What we have had though, is a number of people letting us know of a some minor spares available. Going round the houses, rather than coming straight to the forum, would be off putting. Can't see the advantage of these restrictions.

A price would be helpful too.PITA to have to pm someone only to find their asking price is unrealistic.

I can remember maybe 4 malicious forum users who've happily messed people about with for-sale ads (ones that put other people out financially and/or in wasted significant time) in nearly 20 years, that' pretty good.
Some of those were not forum newbies, and being a club member doesn't stop people doing this either.. :(

You must have a better memory than me, although I was referring to hoaxes. if I'm reading your post correctly it appears to be regarding 'awkward' types rather than those advertising something that doesn't exist. :D
