Body Respray

Dose anyone know where i can get my minor resprayed for a reasonable figure.
the body work is good no rust. just need it to look bright.
i live in the london area.

Before considering a respray have you tried using a clay bar? It removes the impurities from dull paintwork and will leave it looking a lot brighter. Never mind the 'clay bar' - go over it with T Cut first......

You asked about a re-spray, and we answered slightly tongue-in-cheek.... Respray will cost several hundred pounds - if it's worthwhile - a 'blow-over' may be less, but won't last any time at all. I'm surprised no-one came up with a list of places to at least visit - view their workmanship - ask for a quote. Can you post up a few pictures of the car so we can judge what needs doing?

My answer wasn't 'tongue in cheek'. If the problem is just that the paintwork is dull then it's worth trying a clay bar to remove the impurities from the paint followed by a carnauba wax polish.

With London / South East prices, depending on the amount of prep required you'll be lucky to get a blow over for much under £1,000 and a 'top notch' respray will be in the region of £3,000 - £4,000. Which is why I suggested trying an alternative first before deciding whether a respray is actually needed. Your location is given as "the London area" but this covers quite a large distance and it's best to get recommendations from those who live in your local area. It would be useful to provide a bit more info about where you are in the London area

I agree Louise - but nobody actually answered the OP's question about a respray. He may be perfectly happy to pay the price for a quality job! There are many ways to 'revive' paintwork -some requiring considerably more manual effort than others. I believe the first resort should always be T cut, which removes the least possible amount of surface, and may do the job perfectly well. Others are more invasive and can easily cut through to the undercoat.....

thanks for all the advice, i live in sw london, and yes the cheapest quote i got was for £1500.
when polished with a good car polish it comes up nice and glossy, but not all over.
its just that the respray that it had before i owned it 5 years ago was a bad job, as you can see ripples in a few places.
and one wing has a pearly finish not glossy.
