Hi.
My original door seals were knackered & falling to pieces so I recently ordered some new ones.
Rather than the original type I bought the more modern push on black rubber type from esm.
I fitted the new one to the drivers side yesterday & now the drivers door which used to shut nicely wont shut at all unless you bang the door ridiculously hard, obviously this is unsuitable & will damage something so I've had to remove it & refit the original (which is now all damaged & wont stay on).
Any suggestions how people ever fit new seals & get their doors to close?
Thanks.
Neil.

You can adjust the door latch outward so door isn't as tight against the pillars

I can't see it doing so as to be noticable. It's only a tiny bit from a tight slam shut to a normal close. They are meant to be adjusted. As doors get used they will probably need adjust back a bit anyway

i have just replaced them all on my 4 door car and i just moved all the strikers out about 1/4'' and they shut and line up well

Just tried & it seems that my door catches are already on maximum adjustment.
