leaf springs

Hi all, thought Id share this with people. Looking over the saloon before the MOT. I fitted new rear springs about 4 years ago. Springs came from ESM. This is nothing to do with the leaf spring issue I had with my van and posted on the other forum. Anyway 3 of the 4 bands that hold the leafs together are gone on one side and two on the other. I have read the MOT standards and as far as I can see they are not testable. Lets hope the tester has read the same standards. Anyone else had the same problem and have had it mentioned on the MOT ?

Many have had the problem..... They are not MOTable although I would make both sides 'the same' - to avoid awkward questions.
