Could we see the rest of the gun? To me, it looks as though there are no "teeth" to grip the nipple, and the rubber ring forms a seal when the gun is pumped - and that suggests a pump action rather than a lever operated gun, which will become clear when we see the rest of the unit.
New ends available from Machine Mart @ £2.39 inc VAT. Order Code No: 000221600. Flexible hoses also available from Machine Mart @ £2.99 inc VAT for a 12" hose, Order Code No: 051720035 and £3.59 inc VATfor a 18" hose Order Code No: 051720038.
Thank you all so much, very helpful, will check all that out. Yes I think a flexible hose is a good idea! I could see some of the grease points being quite awkward with what I have.
Cheers,
Matt.

I have one that looks similar and I added a nice long flexi hose, so gun can be on the floor when I'm pushing the lever and 2nd hand holding the hose onto the nipple (it self-holds when there is pressure, but if it hangs down at an angle, it can come off before you start greasing!).
an expression I use with the newbies a work..
