heater hose routing

hi my 1955 series 2 has a heater hose connected to the bottom of the radiator , is there any advantage to connecting it to the bottom rad hose as per the latter cars ? i already have the bottom hose with a take off fitted

Hi I wouldn't have thought it matters, hot from the top cold into the bottom. Some my have different opinions of course.
If it works ok then its fine.

Our 1958 has the same routing and works fine.

Bottom hose connection works fine on Jethro and he also has a blanked off lower radiator connection point.
