Wiper motor interchangeable?

I have got the Moggy pretty much ready for the Swedish MOT. Today the wipers stopped moving. I can get them to work as long as I tap on the wiper motor with a little hammer so obviously the motor is the problem. Since I have a wiper motor that was used in a car with tandem wipers I wonder if I can use that one in our Moggy that has clap hands wipers. Does anyone know?

Sadly not, the sweep angles and connections are different.

I just got the wipers working. It would have taken me a long time to get them working if I had ordered new parts so I decided to try using the brushes from the younger motor. They looked absolutely the same and the motor works perfectly well now. I thought I'd post my discoveries here just in case it might help someone else in the future.
