Do they wear or degrade? I think mine might be slipping OSF

Never heard of it but I suppose anything is possible........ What's the problem?

Re: Brake Adjuster Cams
When I adjust them up as per the manual, then brake hard, they lose their adjustment.bmcecosse wrote:Never heard of it but I suppose anything is possible........ What's the problem?

All of them, or just the rear/fronts/just one? Sure it has the right adjusters fitted, not 7 inch ones?

Worn snails?
Return springs in wrong holes?
I think I am having the same problem with n/s/r, will check and if necessary change the snail

Re: Brake Adjuster Cams
Hard to imagine.... When you adjust up the brakes there is often a rapid 'settling in' period -and the brakes then need tweeked up another notch. You should count the clicks and make a note at each wheel - then check later when you feel the pedal has gone 'long' if the same number of clicks takes the adjuster back.

Re: Brake Adjuster Cams
had exactly the same problem, fitted a secondhand cam.. fixed,so allthough rare can happen.

Re: Brake Adjuster Cams
Well I'm only having trouble with one...maybe two, but I think it's just the one. It's certainly only one wheel.

Re: Brake Adjuster Cams
With mine you could adjust up then press the brake, first try good pedal, second try allmost to the floor, soon isolated to one wheel, didn't even look that worn, but another cured it.
