chassis legs help!

Post by Morrisminormo »

hi

just been replacing my trunnions, and have noticed by the tie rod, the side of the chassis leg has cracked! and it moves in when I push it! I would say it is about 5 inches long. there is also a 50pence hole on the under side further up, so not good news!

would a patch be sufficient or would a new leg be in order? also what is the general cost for the work to be done. on the positive side, the rear spring hangers have been replaced and are like new :D

Does anyone know any good workshops that can carry this work out? I'm in Staffordshire but don't mind traveling

Hi

A new leg or half leg is probably best...have you checked the other side?

The other side seems ok, but depending on the going rate of replacing them I would like both doing 8)
