I've removed the seats and carpets to get at some surface floor rust in the back. I've wire brushed any loose stuff off and was planning just to coat it all in Hammerite since its going to be hidden and I'm just after stopping the rust rather than repairing it to concours condition. Unless anyone reckoned there was something better to use?? Also, how do i repair the hole showing on the inside of the wheel arch?? (I guess thats where the water has been coming in).
if it was just that hole a thorough wire brush inside and out and a fibreglass patch, but I see another blister lower down so rust may be more extensive?
The hole really needs new metal welding in...... You could patch it up - but if it's within 300mm of a suspension mount - or a seat belt mount it will fail MOT. The overall surface rust needs more wire brushing - use a twisted wire wheel in a small angle grinder Eye protection!) . Then - coat liberally with a 'rust killer' - most of which are based on phosphoric acid (eye protection again!) . I use Jenolite - but there are plenty of others out there. Work it in to the surface really well - and leave to do it's work. Then by all means Hammerite - although it is not everyone's favourite.

If I were you I would definitely get all the rust cut out and new metal welded in,it will only come back and bite you some time down the line,at present its an easy weld ,it dosent look as though the rust has got to much of a hold .but just covered up... it WILL ,and then you may need an extensive rebuild of the wheel arch area.
I have just wire brushed and painted the floor of my 1961 convertible which was in surprisingly good condition and painted with red oxide . I started with hand wire brush but soon moved on to a drill to remove the flaky paint and then also used Jenolite to treat the rust. Then finished it with Flag anti corrosive metal primer. I agree with comments about welding up the hole with a proper patch have cut out any surrounding rust
