Before throwing out your original Minor seats, and fitting something that takes up more space in the car, try a seat that has been refurbished with new foam, webbing and padding. Makes a world of difference over saggy knackered upholstery!
Cheers John - all comments IMHO

Yes but if the car is to be used as a daily driver head rests may be a good idea with today's traffic in mind. :D

Metro seats used to be good but now are getting hard to find. A lot of people are going for Ford Ka seats - either in fabric or leather. Whatever you choose you will have to make a sub frame so they will fit the floorpan of the Minor.

N.B. Make sure you buy the correct ones (4 dr or 2dr) for your car otherwise they will not have the "lift" handle to allow rear passengers to get into the back (2dr)! :D

I have fitted Rover 200 front seats to my 69 Traveller.Fitting was not difficult with 2" aluminium box sections. The seating position is excellent and a bit higher which suits me. I removed the cover off the Rover rear seats and with minor adjustments they fitted neatly over the rear Minor seat. Not much leg room in the back, but the dog does not mind!

1970 Triumph Herald 1200: "Hetty" -- Driven back from Llangollen in Wales (twice.....)
1952 Morris Minor MM highlight with sidevalve engine still fitted, wants work, so joins the queue for now......
