Interior bulb

Post by Andrew63 »

I have just bought a 1961 minor, it has no interior bulb and the part listing in the original handbook is 2H4817, can anyone tell me what the modern day equivalent is please?

It's a festoon bulb you need, one of these. I can't remember the size but measure the holder and you should be ok. Places like Halfords or your local auto parts shop stock them. It will be 5w.

In that case then it's a BFS949 bulb, The BMC manual does actually say there were two types fitted. The manual says its BFS949, 12v 6w.
I was under the impression it was a festoon bulb
