well a mate called me about 2 weeks ago to help him in viewing a Morris Minor, I've seen it for sale on a local site and for some odd reason I didn't like the car, maybe it was it's modernised front, don't know. but we went to see it, my mates plan was to use a Hilux chassis and put the Morris Minor body onto it with a fast engine etc etc, when I saw the car I was impressed at the condition it was in, fine! it needs work but was quite good! to me it semt a shame that this was going to be molested
what really got me tho was that when I went to the back I noticed it had a split bumper which makes this a probable lowlight which has a modern front fitted (very very common here back in the day) and what made me even more want to save it is, the current ownet wanted to chope the roof off and lower all the pilar to give it that roadster look and then paint it bright pink with white interior and fluffy pink! cause he has a girl band!
I could live with a Morris Minor v8 but not a pink roadster lol! anyway my mate offered a too low price and din't get it, I sold a couple of Metro engines and went and put a deposit on it! the car is in a carpenter's garage so it's full of dust, when back home wil see how bad it is, if not bad I might just put it on the road as is! as I doubt I ill find the original front parts needed![frame]
