two odd questions - holes and leaks

Post by muhnkee_2 »

Hey folks
Thanks as usual for all your wisdom and advice!
i have two questions i would like some help on:

1st holes in the floor
As shown in the picture below, my car is missing two plugs/blanks/covers from the gearbox.
Can anyone tell me the part number of the left hand side one, i have looked on various online stores and cant find a match to any part.

2nd holes in the windscreen
While sitting in my car fiddling with handbrake cables during a thunderstorm last night i noticed this leak through my windscreen seal, can anyone tell me what i am best to use to fix this leak?[frame]Image[/frame]

Thanks a lot for all your help!

Not sure the age of your car assume the same for most cars, this is what I ordered from ESM for my 1966 Traveller
Round Grommet-Gearbox Tunnel Cover & Master Cylinder Cover [10G399]

Also availabe from Bull Motif
Gearbox Filler Plug Grommet 10G268

Hope this helps

The grommet you require is identified on the Moss web site http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/Shop/ViewP ... exID=17139 but the item (No 9) has become mixed up with the screw for retaining the gearbox cover. May be an idea to give Moss a ring.
As regards the leak try Captain Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure. It cured the seriously leaking rear screen on my stepson's Ford Granada :D

Tolley's is fine if you get dry weather, though rare

From ESM site, this is the rubber for the gear stick

I think this is the tight one for a series 11 as well for the oil filler

Thanks chaps, after initially thinking it was a joke product, I have ordered some Captain Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure and will throw it in the gap and see what happens!
I have also ordered the grommet cover - i always had thought that grommets were small things, so i discounted the one listed on ESM.
Thanks for all your help.
