New hood for my convertible, Wirral

Post by arthurdaly »

I need a new hood for William my 1960 convertible. Can anyone recommend a company in the Wirral area who can supply and fit one for me.

Many thanks.

Have you considered fitting it yourself? They're not a complicated job to do.Are you wanting vinyl or canvas/mohair?I bought mine from ESM.They aren't cheap though.

Thanks for the suggestion but it is not a job I want to tackle myself.

Will probably use vinyl. I am thinking of a blue colour, the car is smoke grey.

Any more suggestions please? Only local company I have found is Autotrim in Liverpool who quoted £500 to supply and fit.

Thanks,

Paul

That's not a bad price if it includes supply and fit. A good vinyl hood can cost well over £200 and then there's all the extra bits required to fit it, plus the labour.
