Speedo Innacuracy

Post by Bidz »

Hello, having a bit of an issue with my speedo. It's about correct up to 30mph, but doesn't really go up any further than that.

Any idea what might be the problem? As far as I can see, it looks original.

Probably just general wear and tear? The speedo cable doesn't last forever and the speedo can get oiled up inside. It might be a good idea to take out the cable to check the condition. Also if you can get hold of a known good speedo then you could swap them over. Speedo's can be repaired by various places but it isn't the cheapest option.

It's probably just the needle sticking on the face - or the glass. Open and clean!
