Spent an hour removing the brake master cylinder and clutch pedal assembly this afternoon, this was the state of the clutch pedal shaft.........
New one now ordered along with a new master cylinder........Martin[frame]Image[/frame]

Plenty of wear left in that shaft yet :D
I trust that you are considering replacing at least the R/H (off-side) bush in the chassis leg? Though surprisingly the shaft usually wears before the bush so you may get away with not fitting a new bush.
Before refitting the brake pedal fit a grease nipple to it pack in plenty of grease when fitted and you will have no further problems. If you use a right angled grease nipple and cut a small piece out of front of the master cylinder cover (just large enough for the nozzle of the grease gun to access the nipple) you can access the grease nipple by just lifting the carpet. I have installed a grease nipple on my Minor brake pedal and no problems and no wear 8)
I have seen a clutch pedal shaft drilled nearly right through with cross drillings at the relevant bushes and a grease nipple fitted on the L/H end of the shaft. Difficult to fit a grease nipple on the right hand end of the shaft as you have the reduced diameter for the securing nut.
