Hi guys and gals, had my 65 1098 2 door Saloon for 8 months now, had some issues with brakes and fuelling which seem ok now.
I bought the first car I viewed like a wally and have now become quite attached to our little margo....BUT, I much prefer the interior of the earlier cars with the Gold Speedo, 3 spoke wheel and duotone seats.
Our car is totall rust free and low miles so I am going to give her a make under...
Ive bought a 3 spoke wheel (yet to fit, is it a simple swop??/) and would like to fit a Gold Speedo instead of the black one, I have seen one for sale which is a 90mph one, is this is a simple job also? I wont swop rear axle ratios but dont mind if the speedo's slightly out as its wildly inaccurate anyway!
Then its a case of when funds allow to find a nice earlier interior in blue
Thanks!

Re: Make Under?
Speedo is easy - one screw each side, accessed through holes in the glovebox liner - just loosen them, then PULL. Note however the fuel gauge won't work......

Re: Make Under?
As long a the speedos have the same TPM (1408) they will be a straight swap. The fuel gauge may or may not be accurate, earlier gauges did not require a voltage stabiliser.
Steering wheels are a straight swap, c/w horn push.
