MIXERMAN... no need to take the cap for comparison, if you bought
it from Bull MOtif then it will be correct, take the rotor arm instead.

Ahem,

that's where the last couple I had were from ....

It's worth phoning them & discussing the problem.

To All
i took the roter arm back and told him this is the wrong one but he said they only make one type so i took mine out of my pocket and shown the bloke and he was amazed at the differrance he scatched his head and of he went he came back with the right one, as soon as i got home i put all the bits together and it fired up straight away thanks to all that helped me to get susie alive and well again.

Phil,

Great! There is nothing more frustrating (well - in getting cars running) than tracing these faults. Well done.

True, but having so called 'experts' tell you lies comes a close 2nd as Phil experienced..... Glad you took the old arm to show him.

Unfortunatly it sounds like the wrong one was put in the box and they are unlikly to check what is in the box, although knowing Bull Motif they will probably check to make sure that yours just happened to be a one off.

I did not know the arm was from Bull Motif! I thought it was from his local garage?

The reason I commented was that most generic 'motor factors' don't have a clue nowadays and will palm you off with any old rubbish (like the coil post recently). Bull Motif are really good and I would be VERY surprised if THEY got it wrong! :o

Well - anyone can get a wrong part in a box from the manufacturer, but Bull Motif have a good reputation and as you say they are more likely to check the remaining parts rather than just keep supplying wrong stuff to more people.

yes, and it is a real pain sometimes.
My local motor factor is a very helpful place but if it is at all possible I'll take the old part with me to check the new one looks right before leaving the shop.
