Colin,
i bought the cap from bull motif because the morris gartage near me (1 mile away) was expensive i popped in on the way from work and bought new points and roter arm but as i said it is about 1/4 of a inch to deep and the brass bit is about the same i will take my cap down to the garage tomorrow and check it against one of his

MIXERMAN... no need to take the cap for comparison, if you bought
it from Bull MOtif then it will be correct, take the rotor arm instead.

To All
i took the roter arm back and told him this is the wrong one but he said they only make one type so i took mine out of my pocket and shown the bloke and he was amazed at the differrance he scatched his head and of he went he came back with the right one, as soon as i got home i put all the bits together and it fired up straight away thanks to all that helped me to get susie alive and well again.

Unfortunatly it sounds like the wrong one was put in the box and they are unlikly to check what is in the box, although knowing Bull Motif they will probably check to make sure that yours just happened to be a one off.

Well - anyone can get a wrong part in a box from the manufacturer, but Bull Motif have a good reputation and as you say they are more likely to check the remaining parts rather than just keep supplying wrong stuff to more people.Bull Motif are really good and I would be VERY surprised if THEY got it wrong!

i got the arm from my local dealers when i took it back he checks it computer and it was booked out as a condenser when he matched the new to my old one then i new it was right , thats how good computers are you cannot beat the old man behind the counter that nows every part in his shop all it now is coputer part no go and fetch no matter what it looks like!
