In 2012, my wife and I bought a '68 Traveller on Ebay, sight unseen, and went to Scotland for our 10-year wedding anniversary. We had a great time over the next week, driving a 500-mile loop around the highlands, from Aberdeen to Ben Lomond to Ullapool (extra time here due to breakdown and no parts) to Inverness.

We put "Bonny" on a boat back in Aberdeen, and a month later, she's an expat, living in San Francisco.

I started with the brakes. Wanted to convert to discs and expected a $600-$800 job. Not even close... My guy did outstanding work, but a lot of work it was. So much was rusted solid...
