The suspiciously 'clean' one - #2 - suggests a water leak into that cylinder....is the matching head chamber also very clean? Otherwise - the black gunge is just typical of a worn/oil burning engine........

hi the 1st one was gunky 2 clean 3 gunky 4th clean ill the cylinder head same 2 dirty same 2 clean would that suggest a headgasket fault or still oil burning engine if oil burning how do I sort it would it be new rings shell s etc

Clean pistons/chambers usually means water ingress. Strange that it would be 2 and 4.....non-adjacent. Are you running two threads on this same subject? I've told you already - you need to pull the pistons and inspect the rings - and the piston lands.......and the bearing journals. Post up pictures!
